Anglia Crown to launch finger food range at HCA Leadership and Development Forum 2017

Anglia Crown is pleased to announce it will be launching a brand-new Crown Choice range of finger foods at this year’s Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) Leadership and Development Forum in Belfast (6-7 April).

The range aims to encourage greater independence for patients, particularly those with dementia.

It features more than 50 dishes, from soups which can be consumed from a mug to main meals and desserts cut into manageable pieces to support patient groups who struggle to use cutlery.

Of the launch, Paul Howell, head of commercial Anglia Crown, said:

“We identified a clear need for an alternative dining solution for certain patient groups such as those with dementia.

“We are therefore extremely proud to launch our new finger food range which introduces a wide range of easy-to-eat menu options that don’t require the use of cutlery. The range will help these patient groups enjoy a nutritious meal throughout their hospital stay.”

The  nutritious range is suitable for patients with dementia, upper limb injuries, IV cannulas in situ, those who have suffered a stroke, children and many more.

Anglia Crown will also be launching five new and updated products from its award-winning Crown Advantage range at the event. The new dishes include Spanish Chicken, Mediterranean Salmon Stew, Roast Beef and Gravy, a baked Macaroni Pasta and a smaller appetite Fish with Cheese sauce. To help reduce waste, each dish is individually packed and comes in packaging that uses a unique removable base.

Anglia Crown will be on stand 26 at this year’s HCA forum at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on 6-7 April.
