Every March since 2012, we have been looking forward to Nutrition & Hydration Week. However, due to Covid-19 and the numerous challenges our health and social settings faced in the past months, Nutrition & Hydration Week has been rescheduled for June 2021.
Nutrition & Hydration Week has always been an event close to our hearts because we promote the same values. For a week, we have witnessed how individuals and organisations like ours focused their energy to raise awareness on the value of food and drink in maintaining health and wellbeing in health and social care.
With around 3 million people at risk of malnutrition in the UK and during the current climate, it is more important than ever to promote good practices that can help prevent dehydration and malnutrition.
In response to this, Anglia Crown has been advocating for patient’s right to a delicious and nutritious meal delivered safely. Our vision has always been to provide excellence in the healthcare and care sector. To achieve this, we focused on innovation and product development, which proved to be vital especially during these challenging times.
Our core prepared meal ranges have been designed to cater for all dietary requirements and preferences. For instance, Anglia Crown was the first of its kind to register a range of dishes with the Vegan Trademark via the Vegan Society. At the moment, we offer more than 36 vegetarian and 11 vegan meals, and we plan on introducing more vegan dishes with the launch of our new menu this spring.
While we have been looking forward to taking part once more in this fantastic initiative, we are confident that Hydration & Nutrition Week will receive its deserved attention in June 2021.
