‘The Food Chain’ is a food series tracing the journeys of Britain’s best-loved foods from field and sea to dining table. Fourayes feature in episode 1, which follows two British staples; sea salt and English Bramley apples. The episode aired in April 2016, and can be seen online at Channel 4 until the end of May. The episode takes the viewer from the Kentish Bramley apple orchards into the Fourayes factory, watching the transformation that leads you on to finished goods manufacturing and ultimately to the dining table.

Fourayes Managing Director, Phil Acock, says:

Fourayes-16‘It’s fantastic that people can see the journey that a great British fruit like the Bramley apple takes. Although we make jams, fillings and many other products from a wide variety of fruits at Fourayes, the English Bramley apple holds a very special place in our hearts. When it comes to cooking there really isn’t anything to beat it and its versatility – appearing in everything from smoothies to hot cross buns – makes it one of this country’s real star performers’.
